Toni Cherry Senior Preservation Inspector
Toni Cherry is the senior building inspector for the Historic Preservation Office (HPO). She conducts inspections and enforcement for several historic districts and tracks all inspections and enforcement activities of the HPO. She coordinates closely with the Office of the Attorney General and oversees the preparation and presentation of enforcement actions before the Office of Administration Hearings. Ms. Cherry serves on the board of the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions, and has assisted communities nationwide with launching and managing historic preservation inspections programs. Prior to joining the HPO in l999, Ms. Cherry was first employed by the DC Department of Public Works in 1987, serving in several challenging positions. She served as a Solid Waste and Public Space Inspector for Ward 2. Ms. Cherry is a proud graduate of DC public schools. |
